On Tuesday 26th January, we will be joined by a representative from the Street Pastors, at our ENCOUNTER Meeting (8pm at The Church).

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.
It was pioneered in London in January 2003 by Rev Les Isaac, Director of the Ascension Trust, and has seen some remarkable results, including drops in crime in areas where teams have been working: for example, a 74% reduction in Peckham and 95% drop in Lambeth! There are now over 100 teams around the United Kingdom.

The Redbridge Team has been gathering momentum over the last twelve months, and training for our Borough Teams begins in March, there are still spaces for YOU to become part of the arm of God reaching out into our local community! Are you passionate about the people you pass daily who are yet to know Christ? Concerned about the crime rates in our area? Worried about the teenagers who have little to do at a weekend except drink & walk the streets late into the night? This is NOT a hopeless situation – YOU can be a part of the answer!

So come and join us for this special ENCOUNTER meeting, and as we pray about Ilford & Redbridge – see God provide the answer through His Church!
