As local residents clean up after Typhoon Ketsana, Super-Typhoon Parma builds off the coast of The Philippines
The local governments in Manila have started to initiate a forced evacuation of many parts of The Philippines, as the Country once again prepares for a second battering of storms and winds, many residents who refuse to leave have been informed they cannot expect to rescued. Super-Typhoon Parma is predicted to bring worse flooding and mud-slides than it predecessor last Saturday – Typhoon Ketsana.
Reports from 8am yesterday morning, were stating Parma’s storm winds were gusting to 296 kph and waves near the eye are as high as 6 meters. Today, they are noticing that Typhoon Parma is gathering strength as it draws nearer to The Philippines. It is expected to hit northern Luzon overnight tonight.

This is a serious situation, and as our brothers and sisters at City Gates Academy, continue to distribute relief bags to their local community, we need to continue to lift them up in prayer. From messages we’ve received from Glenn, they are beginning to feel the pressure and are tired from the trauma of the last 5 days. The Lord is working through them and the huge mission they have undertaken to reach out to the Community!
