Starting on Thursday 5th August, Pastor Steve will be leading discussion and study based on 1 Peter throughout the whole of August. The classes will be held at the Church every Thursday evening from 8pm – 9:30pm and the cost is… £0.00 that’s right – this Summer Bible School is FREE!

A reminder to all those in their 20’s who thought they might come down to the July meeting next week… there is NO 20-Something this month! There will a social event in August to Alton Towers instead!

City Gates’ Worship Directors, Steve & Velveta Thompson launched the album they have written and recorded in June at our the Morning services in Cineworld!
This is a project which has been years in the making – as they have sown into the lives and ministries of others, now the Lord is releasing them into a new dimension of Praise and Worship! The focus being not on what they can gain from the profit of sales, but where further they can sow with the donations given for the album. The album itself is FREE-OF-CHARGE!
“Living Waters – Seeds for Change” has been distributed free of charge to the Chinese Church Community and has encouraged and blessed many of our brothers and sisters in the Underground Churches of China… so as you listen to the songs, ask of the Lord to increase in you and place within us “Seeds for Change” wherever He may want us to deposit them!
Joining Steve & Velveta, were friends Graham Kendrick, Mark Beswick, Noel Robinson & Muyiwa for this great celebration of what the Lord is doing around the world!

On Sunday 6th June, City Gates will be hosting the Annual Open Doors Great Big Tea Party after our 6:30pm service, in the Church.
The Open Doors Great Big Tea Party runs throughout the Country, with events being hosted by many Christians simultaneously, this weekend, to help raise awareness of persecuted Christians, raising support to help them stand strong in the face of the persecution.
The focus of this year’s event will be Iran, second on Open Door’s list of countries where persecution is the worst. In 2009 in Iran, at least 85 Christians were arrested and a number of house churches closed. Despite this the church is growing and the support you raise will be sent to help oppressed Christians in Iran.
Up and down the country, Great Big Tea Parties take place in homes and gardens, churches and schools, village greens or coffee shops!
You will have an opportunity to purchase cakes & drinks, write letters of encouragement to persecuted Christians, and pray for specific countries where Persecution of Christians is highest.

After the success of his first run in London last week (within 5 hours), Pastor Steve will be running the 2nd of his 4 marathons on Monday 4th May in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It will be another 26.2 miles bringing his total to 52.4 miles so far !!!
