Out of the desolate streets of Antipolo City in the Philippines, rose a dream: the desire to see the underprivileged rising to become more than they could ever hope or imagine, to see children who are normally shunned and rejected given an extraordinary opportunity.
And so City Gates Academy was born. A purpose-built school of the highest standard which enrolls children from the poorest areas of the country. Children who were found rummaging on Rubbish Mountain or sat at the side of the road were invited to join City Gates Academy at which they receive an education. For what price? For the price of security, for the price of families having a light shone upon them, for the price of parents working together to make the school function, for the price of receiving at least 2 healthy meals each day.
How is this achieved? Through the sponsorship of people like yourself who agree to pay £15 per month for a child to receive education, nutrition, advice on basic hygiene and hope for a future outside of poverty!
